GCL “Panorama Trail Regulators” 1st Shoot May 14, 2005 Our first shoot is now history. With predictions of rain and thunderstorms we had 12 people attend the match. The weather held and it never did rain until late afternoon. Fastest gun was Bristol Bisley AKA: Steave MacDonald with Charley Ketchpaw AKA: Roger Graham being the top gun of the Missouri Rangers, also Bristol Bisley, Charley Ketchpaw and Shotgun Ron AKA: Ron Piersa, all shot the match clean (no misses). A big thank you to Roger and John for helping with setup and thanks to all the people who helped run the match and stayed to tear down afterwards. We will be setting up on Fridays the day before the match starting around 4pm. We can always use some help. We have started a category called the Missouri Rangers. The Rangers are shooting each stage using only rifle and shotgun. Some new friends who recently moved here from Missouri wanted to come and shoot with the Regulators, they had joined GCL but don’t have handgun permits yet. Due to the strict handgun laws in the state and realizing not everyone has a handgun to start with, we came up with the Missouri Rangers (MRs). So if you want to come out and give CAS a try, you don’t need to worry about having a NYS permit or handgun, each stage of the match will be written so only a rifle and shotgun is needed, so come out and have some fun. Our next shoot is June 11th; sign up starts at 9am, shooting starts at 10am. We will have to rescue the old miner Jed from the Desert Devils and help him get back his Shining Star Mine, then stop a jail break from the Allen Creek town jail and save the ranch herd from a gang of rustlers. If there is enough interest and people who want to shoot, we will hold a derringer side match after the June main match.
